Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus was on the score sheet for Ajax as they beat VV Venlo 3-1 in the Dutch Eredivisie clash on Thursday afaternoon.

The Ghanaian midfielder was handed a start and he rewarded Erik Ten Hag's faith in him with a goal.

Ajax have already bagged the Dutch league title their 35th one and were giving a guard of honour by the visiting team.

The home side started the game in dominant fashion as they opened the scores as early as the 10th minute through Devyne Rensch.

Ivorian International Sebastian Haller added the second goal for Ajax in the 57th minute but they had their player Kevin Taylor sent off for a reckless tackle for final ten minutes of the game.

Venlo pulled a goal back in the 76th minute through Greek striker Georgios Giakoumakis to make it a tense finish to the game.

The away side were pushing for the equalizer before Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Mohammed added the third goal in the 77th minute for Ajax to seal the game.

He was replaced two minutes later by Dusan Tadic after scoring his fifth goal of the campaign.
