National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr Bernard Mornah has jabbed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the spate of kidnapping in the country.

According to Mr. Mornah, President Akufo-Addo must concentrate on ensuring the security of Ghanaians instead of focusing on building a national cathedral.

Speaking at the maiden “Kum Y3n Pr3ko” street demonstration in Accra on Tuesday, 9 July 2019, Mr Mornah said President Akufo-Addo must fulfill the key promises he made to Ghanaians for which he was voted into power.

Hundreds of Ghanaians including leaders of the opposition NDC and the People’s National Convention (PNC) joined the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) in the demonstration to demand better governance.

“Enough of the economic hardships, you didn’t promise us a national cathedral and chamber for parliament. Focus on providing us the factories and the dams you promised Ghanaians,". Mr Mornah said

“Give the $200 million intended for the new chamber to the MPs to provide good drinking water and other social needs for their constituents; that is what they need and not a new chamber.”

He added: “Enough of the kidnappings in Ghana, enough of the harassment of journalists in Ghana.”
