An hour-long downpour in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region, has led to the flooding of many roads and houses.

Meanwhile, some residents have been displaced, with a number of houses also submerging following the downpour.

Majority of vehicles were also stuck in the floods, forcing passengers to walk through the water in a bid to get to their homes.

Those who feared to risk it also had to wait for the flood waters to recede before they could continue their respective journeys.

Although no casualties have been recorded, reports suggest that the downpour has led to the destruction of many properties.

This comes after a similar downpour in Accra led to the death of ten people after the certain parts of the city got flooded.

Also, three people were reported death at Sokpoe in the Volta region after they were shocked by electricity during a recent downpour.
