Ghanaian striker Kwabena Owusu has  departed newly promoted Turkish  Super League side MKE Ankaragücü after the expiration of his loan spell.

Owusu joined the Turkish side on a season long loan deal from Azerbaijani side FK Qarabag.

In the statement made by the yellow-dark blue club, in addition to team captain Erdem Özgenç, Yusuf Abdioğlu, Mehmet Murat Uçar, Akın Alkan, İshak Çakmak, Hasan Hüseyin Acar, Kwabena Owusu, Tiago Pinto, Aatif Chahechouhe, Geraldo and Cem Ekinci's plans for the new season.

It was stated that they would not be in the squad for next season.

In the statement, "We would like to thank our football players for all their efforts and services in the 1st League 2021-2022 season, and wish them success in their future careers. Good luck." 

He has been integral to the team's promotion push as he has scored 7 goals in 21 appearances with  4 assists.

Kwabena Owusu has played for a number of clubs in Europe with the likes of CD Leganes, Cordoba, Salamanca, Real Oviedo among others.
