Kwame Boahene 'Zambrota' is close to the end of his tumultuous stay at Kumasi Asante Kotoko after persisting injuries and lack of playing time prevented him from reaching his full potential at the club.
Kwame Boahene since his arrival from Medeama has been left frustrated with playing time with the bulk of his stay at the club being on the substitutes bench or languishing on the treatment table.
The winger's opportunities have been further reduced with the arrivals of Maxwell Baako, Augustine Okrah and Richard Arthur who all play in similar roles.
His plight has further been deepen by the arrival of Norwegian trainer Kjetil Zacchariassen who prefers to play Emmanuel Gyamfi and Richard Arthur on the flanks.
The final nail in the coffin that might have pushed the winger out is the the club's decision to snub him for their African cup campaign.
Boahene is now seriously assessing his options with the transfer window opened he is looking for a way out of Kotoko where his career seem to have stagnated over the last few years.
His former club Medeama are believed to have opened talks with the former Liberty Professionals midfielder but there are other clubs who are still in talks with the speedster who on his day is unplayable.
