Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Kwame Bonsu Conte scored for his Tunisian side Esperance in the Arab Club Championship against Moroccan side Olympic Safi at the Rades Stadium in Tunisia.

It was the second leg of the match with the first leg ending 1-1 .

The away side took the lead as early as the 20th minute after a defensive blunder through Abdelghani Mouaoui.

With Esperance struggling to get the much needed equalizer, the away side went into the break with a slender one nil lead.

Kwame Bonsu Prodded home a long shot which cannoned off a defender from the away side and fell kindly to him to give his side the much needed equalizer.

The game ended 1-1 but went into penalty shoot out where Esperance lost by 4-2 to the Moroccan side with Ben Choug and Jouini missing their spot kicks for the Blood and Gold.
