Ghana and Falkenberg FF striker, Kwame Kizito has undergone a successful surgery to correct a damage in his anterior cruciate ligament.

According to kickgh.com, the 23 year old striker underwent the surgery on Monday in Sweden after suffering the career threatening injury.

Kwame Kizito has been ruled out of the 2020/2021 league season after suffering the injury in his debut for his side

Falkenberg FF against his old club BK Hacken in June.

Kizito, a member of the 2017 WAFU Cup winning team tore his cruciate ligament in the 69th minute and had to be replaced by Nsima Peter.

“He injured the front cruciate ligament and meniscus on the outside of the knee. Now surgery is first awaited and then rehabilitation for eight to twelve months. Unfortunately, Kwame Kizito misses the rest of the season. He is sad and does not want to speak in the media” said Sverker Nilsson, the clubs team doctor.
