Kumasi Asante Kotoko delivered a resounding a 4-1 victory over Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, as they pushed for the chance to win the league title with three matches to spare.
Kwame Poku was the star of the show in Kumasi, scoring a brace to help Asante Kotoko maintain their place in fourth with a dominant performance.
Albert Amoah opened the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors in the 16th minute before Poku doubled the lead shortly after.
Dreams FC briefly threatened a comeback when Jonathan Nemoredeen pulled one back, but Poku’s second goal in the 61st minute restored Kotoko’s two-goal cushion.
Fernando Bassey added the icing on the cake with a well-taken fourth to seal a comprehensive win for the hosts. Kotoko now sit on 54 points with three matches remaining.
