Ghanaguardian.com can confirm President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi, has returned to Ghana from Morocco and is currently at the office to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.

Mr Nyantakyi is under investigation for allegedly using the name of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to attempt to clench investor deals.

President Nana Akufo-Addo reported Mr Nyantakyi to the CID on Tuesday, 22 May after having been privy to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Number 12 undercover documentary, which captured Mr Nyantakyi involved in influence peddling.

The embattled football head is likely to answer charges of defrauding by false pretense, following an investigative piece dubbed 'Number 12' by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, revealing some corrupt practices at the Ghana FA.
