Black Starlets head coach Laryea Kingston is resolute in his mission to steer his team to victory in the upcoming 2024 U17 WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations, with the goal of ending Ghana's two-time absence from the tournament.

Having last participated in the competition in 2017, where Ghana finished as runners-up, Kingston is unwavering in his determination to prepare his squad for the challenges ahead.

Following their recent involvement in the 2024 UEFA U16 Invitational tournament in Russia, Kingston stressed the importance of maintaining focus and motivation.

"After our game against Kazakhstan, we immediately shifted our focus. We made it clear to the team that the past is behind us,” Kingston affirmed.

"Now, our primary focus is on the upcoming tournament. We are putting in the work, and there's no room for complacency. Our mission is clear, and we are fully committed to it.”

The Black Starlets will kick off their campaign against Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday, May 15, with the aim of securing a victory and advancing in their quest to qualify for the AFCON. Their subsequent match will be against Benin six days later.

With their sights firmly set on reclaiming glory in the U17 WAFU Cup of Nations, Kingston and his team are prepared to give their all on the field, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of success.
