Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC have extended the contract of Ghanaian international Latif Blessing.

The former Liberty Professionals forward inked a one year deal that will keep him with the Black and Gold until 2020.

Blessing has made an appearance during each of LAFC’s 16 matches so far this season, with two goals and five assists in his 1,288 minutes played this year.

A club statement reads; “LAFC today announced that the Club has exercised the contract option of Latif Blessing, keeping the 22-year-old midfielder in Los Angeles until the 2020 season.”

His new deal with Los Angeles FC will keep him at the Banc of California Stadium outfit until December 2020.

“Latif has proven to be a great fit for us on and off the field,” said LAFC General Manager & EVP of Soccer Operations John Thorrington.

“He is an exciting young player who continues to improve, and we look forward to his continued contributions in the coming seasons.”
