Legon Cities clinch first victory of the season with last-minute goal against Kotoko

Legon Cities FC claimed their first win of the 2024-25 Premier League season in a thrilling 2-1 victory over Asante Kotoko at the University of Ghana Stadium on Wednesday night.
In a game filled with intensity, Rahim Yaya Abdul netted the decisive goal in added time, lifting the Royals to a much-needed win and easing some of the pressure on the team.
The match saw Albert Yeboah open the scoring for Legon Cities with a skillful finish in the 23rd minute.
Asante Kotoko responded in the 74th minute with Albert Amoah leveling the score for the Porcupine Warriors.
The game seemed destined for a draw until Abdul’s late strike secured all three points for Legon Cities.
This marked Kotoko’s first loss of the season, leaving them in second place with 15 points, while Legon Cities remain in the bottom three with a total of 5 points.
