Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has appealed to the Muslims to make history by voting massively for the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on 7th December, 2024 to become the next President of Ghana.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia has confirmed his confidence that when given the mandate, he will be able to lead our country to where we are desirous of seeing it.
Addressing the Muslims at the 2024 National Eid ul Adha gathering held on Sunday in Adoagyiri in his constituency, Frank Annoh-Dompreh urged the Muslims to the Zongo communities have a pivotal role in making this history and should not let the opportunity pass.
He explained that the 2024 general elections hold the promise of making history with a Northerner and a Muslim becoming President. This is a unique opportunity, as previous Northern founders of the party did not have this chance.
However, the Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP urged the Muslims to massively vote for Dr. Bawumia for a new era of development in the country adding that John Dramani Mahama and NDC have nothing good to offer Ghanaians since he (John Mahama) will be going on a honeymoon as he stated when elected, and he won’t come back again, but for Dr Bawumia, he will come back in 2028 for renewal of mandate subject to his performance.
On comparative records between the NPP and NDC, he noted that the data shows that the NDC comes nowhere near the NPP in many sectors, adding that the NPP has a superior record in education, economic indicators, construction of hospitals, tourism, sports infrastructure, digitalization, and many more.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh together with the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Chief Executive, Emmanuel Owusu Arthur, also made some donations of sheep, quantities of bags of rice, cooking oil, boxes of tin tomatoes, and an undisclosed amount to the Zongo community leaders for the celebration of the Eid-ul-Ahda.
The Adoagyiri Municipal Chief Imam, on his behalf, expressed his gratitude to Allah for bestowing the nation with a leader like Dr Bawumia, who supports individuals from diverse backgrounds and also used the opportunity to offer prayers for the leaders of the country.
