Moneybags Legon Cities continue to disappoint on the pitch as they lost on Friday against struggling Karela United at the Akoon Park.

After last week's one nil win over Bechem United most people thought it was the start of a good run for the Cities instead it was a flash in the pan as they were put at their proper position by Karela United.

Going into the game Enos Adepa was under intense pressure with a section of the Karela fans calling for his head but the three nil victory will ease the pressure.

The 3 nil win is only the second victory for Karela United the whole season after 7 games in the Premier League season.

Karela gave on Asante Kotoko full back Samuel frimpong his debut while goalie Isaac Hagan replaced Lawrence Osei in goal while Ayiku Tetteh another Kotoko loanee also made his debut for Legon Cities.

The home side took the lead in the 29th minute after striker Diawise Taylor broke his barren spell after nice work from Abega Osei.

In the 41st minute Samuel Ofori made the results safe for the home side with a cool finish after the Cities defence were caught napping.

Diawise Taylor added to his tally with his second goal in the 80th minute with a side foot finish to seal the results for Karela United as Legon Cities continue to sink down the table.
