The Office of Ghana’s former First Lady, Lordina Mahama has dismissed rumours that she’s been attacked and shot by armed robbers at her residence in Accra.

A story published by an online portal, radiogtv.com with the headline “Former First Lady Lordina Mahama shot in robbery attack; robbers make away with 600,000 dollars,” claims the wife of ex President Mahama was shot twice in the leg while fleeing from the robbers on Sunday and she’s currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital, Accident and Emergency Unit.

The story added that one Chief Inspector Kwame Addai who was the leader of the patrol team that was dispatched to the crime scene told reporters that the former First Lady confirmed to him the robbers made away with a sum of $ 600,000 and GHC 130,000 which were to be deposited in her account on Monday.

The report further said, the police have started reviewing surveillance video in the house and have also started talking to witnesses.

However checks conducted by Kasapafmonline.com at the Office of the First Lady have established that the said report is false as no such incident has happened.

A staff who spoke to this website under condition of anonymity stated that the wife of the ex President is hale and hearty and going about her regular duties.

The former First Lady was shocked when this story was brought to her attention as she has not suffered any such fate. The said report can only be a figment of someone’s imagination and must be treated with the contempt that it deserves,” The staff noted.
