Jeremie Frimpong won his first title with Scottish Champions Celtic on Sunday after his side beat bitter rivals Rangers in the Betfred Cup finals.

In a game which was heavily dominated by Rangers in the opening 45 minutes but they could not take the numerous chances that came their way with goalkeeper Fraser Foster too in an inspired form.

Their pressure could not produce any goal as the game went into the break barren without a goal.

The Gers started the second half in the same vein they ended the first but yet could not take advantage of the chances that fell their way with the most guilty party being Columbian striker Alfredo Morelos who despite scoring 26 goals this season is still searching for his first ever goal against Celtic.

Christopher Jullien scored the winner with Celtic's only shot on target, though the French defender appeared a yard offside.

But three minutes later, Jeremie Frimpong was sent off after fouling Alfredo Morelos in the box, only for Fraser Forster to save the Colombian's penalty.

The Gers piled on the pressure but could not find the elusive equalizer as Celtic wins their 10th domestic title and the first for the luck boy Jeremie Frimpong.
