Ghanaian International Thomas Teye Partey has been the subject of a spate robbery attacks in recent weeks in his home in Madrid.

The Athletico Madrid midfielder's house was originally targeted by robbers on Monday while he was away for his team Champions league game away to Lokomotiv Moscow.

On Monday whiles away with team mates robbers broke into Partey's Boadilla del Monte property only to meet his house help but did not steal anything nor harm any one.

According to reports in Spain, intruders who broke into his home met the presence of a relative of the 26year old and bolted withou taking any valuables.

The growing wave of robberies at the homes of football players during matches has put the heads of Spain's police on high alert and they are taking action.

Security officials from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been summoned this week for a meeting in which steps will be taken to try to avoid new thefts.

The areas of La Moraleja, Mirasierra and Majadahonda have been marked in red, but there are also other hot spots where there will be special surveillance due to the activity of thieves.

Real Madrid have already started using a surveillance vehicle during matches, but the areas to be covered are too extensive for the presence of one car to drive away the thieves.

Although Barcelona players like Gerard PiqueJordi Alba and Kevin Prince Boateng have also suffered robberies, as well as some others in other parts of Spain, there have been more cases in Madrid.

Rafael VaraneMarco AsensioLucas VazquezCasemiroAlvaro MorataThomas ParteyKarim Benzema and even Zinedine Zidane have been targeted, although in the case of the Real Madrid coach it was only attempted.

According to police sources, players must take a step forward in terms of private security, since it has been proven that in one of the homes there was hardly any deterrent to keep thieves away.

Players are also being asked to stop sharing photos of their belongings or the interiors of their homes and to stop sharing information on their trips away from their houses.

Considering the way they use social media, avoiding leaving a trace of their steps is a complicated ask.
