Four presidential aspirants of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have announced that they will file their nominations to contest the flagbearership of the party today Monday, December 17, 2018.

The four are former President John Dramani Mahama, Professor Joshua Alabi, Sylvester Mensah and Alban Bagbin.

Mr Mahama, after the party event, will proceed to the Accra International Trade Fair Centre to address the media.

This will be his official first address to journalists after losing the 2016 general elections.

Other aspirants who are still in the flagbearership race including Mr Goosie Tanoh, Mr Stephen Atubiga, Mr Nurudeen Iddrisu and Mr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah are yet to disclose the date of submission of their forms.

The deadline for the filing of nomination is Tuesday, 18 December 2018.

Meanwhile, the NDC presidential primaries is scheduled for January 26, 2019.
