The former Deputy Energy Minister John Jinapor has warned the Akufo Addo’s government to desist from blaming erstwhile Mahama-administration for the recent ‘Dumsor’ the country is facing.

Kumasi, Accra and parts of the country in the past weeks have been experiencing ‘Dumsor’.

But speaking on the floor of Parliament, Mr Jinapor indicated that under no circumstance should the country revisit the dark days of the energy sector given the investments put in place by the Mahama administration.

The Energy ministry is blaming the former government for the recent hiccups in the sector.

However, Mr. Jinapor argues installed capacity was in excess of 4,000 megawatts as against 2,000 megawatts peak demand.

Ibrahim Alhassan reported that Mr Jinapor suggested that the former handlers of the ministry are ready to offer assistance if the current handlers are at their wits end.
