The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate has chided the National Democratic Congress(NDC) for  failing to implement the necessary economic policies which would improve  the fortunes of Ghanaians, branding  the ruling party's economic policies as "Wayomenomics."

Speaking at a mammoth rally to climax the NPP's campaign for the 2016 election, at the forecourt of the Ghana International Trade Fair Center in Accra, Sunday, the former Deputy Bank of Ghana said the kind of economic policies implemented by President John Mahama are responsible for the hardship in the country.

“Under the eight years of the NDC…President Mahama has been practicing Wayomenomics and not economics,” he said, adding any well-meaning government would look out for common good and not individual interest.

Dr Bawumia defined 'Woyomenomics' as "create, loot, and share," a term the Supreme Court used to described the scandal.

The Vice Presidential candidate said the NDC in the last eight years has been practicing "woyomenomics," a term he coined from the Woyome scandal involving GHC52 million.

He urged party polling agents to be vigilant so as to make sure that the NPP's victory is secured.
