Former President John Dramani Mahama has stated that he is ready to work with newly elected National Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for victory in the 2020 General Elections.

Addressing NDC delegates at Kuntanase in the Bosomtwe constituency in the Ashanti Region on Monday, Mr. Mahama congratulated the winners and all candidates for making the congress peaceful and competitive.

“The NDC had its National Congress two Saturdays ago, and when you look at how the event turned out, I congratulate the party leadership and organizers for putting together a peaceful Congress.”

He urged the new executives to work with those who were not elected to promote harmony and togetherness in the party.

The former President said the newly elected National Executives inspire hope for victory, and that he is prepared to work with them when elected as the flagbearer of the NDC for election 2020.

“If God permits and I am elected flagbearer, I promise you that I can work well with the newly elected national executives.”

He urged delegates of NDC to disregard a supposedly new date for the flagbearership elections.

Mr. Mahama indicated that members of the National Executive Committee of the party will meet on Tuesday to discuss and announce a date for the flagbearership elections.
