President John Mahama is scheduled to receive the final report on the Bawku peace mediation process on Thursday, December 11, 2025, during a ceremony at Jubilee House.

The presentation marks a key milestone in national efforts to address the long-standing tensions in Bawku and surrounding communities. The report reflects months of mediation led by the Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whose leadership has been central to the country’s broader reconciliation initiatives.

Officials say the ceremony will highlight the collective commitment of traditional leaders, state institutions, civil society, and international partners to promoting unity and long-term stability in the conflict-affected area.

The event, set to begin at 10:00 a.m., will bring together senior government officials, the mediation committee, and invited dignitaries. Traditional authorities and other key stakeholders involved in the peace efforts are also expected to attend.

Institutions invited include the National Peace Council, Christian Council of Ghana, Office of the National Chief Imam, Catholic Secretariat, UNDP, the British High Commission, as well as regional representatives from the Upper East and North East regions, the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs, and National Security officials.
