Ghanaian striker Mahatma Otoo was the hero as his Turkish side Balikesirspor earned a vital 2-1 triumph away from home against Umraniyespor in the Turkish Division One on Saturday

The former Hearts of Oak striker did not start the game but came on as a second half substitute and won the day for his side.

It was the home side who broke the deadlock of the game in the 39th minute through Atakan Uner after which Muhammed Enes Durmus pulled parity for the away side a minute before recess.

Both teams went into the break tied on 1-1 as neither side could find the back of the net.

Mahatma Otoo was introduced into the game in the second half as replacement for Hasan Ozkan and he rewarded the faith of his manager with the winner in the 87th minute of the game.

The former Hearts of Oak striker has now scored three goals and provided one assist in 18 matches for Balikesirspor this season.
