Yusif Chibsah, agent of Abdul Majeed Waris has confirmed the striker’s return to his parent club FC Porto after FC Nantes refused to exercise the buy option on his loan contract.

Despite his impressive campaign for the French Ligue 1 outfit last season, the club surprisingly passed on the opportunity to sign him permanently for €6 million.

The 27-year-old made 24 league appearances for the Canaries, scoring five goals and recording three assists to help them finish 11th on the standings.

"Majeed is training with team B. He has a contract until 2022, so another three years, and we are trying to figure out what the club wants to do with him," says the agent.

The Black Stars forward is yet to make an announcement on his next move but he has stated in the past that it is likely to be in France.
