Ghanaian midfielder Majid Ashimeru had a huge influence in Anderlecht's 2-1 win over Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Jupiler Pro league on Saturday night.

The midfielder was on hand to provide the assist for the winning goal as he was handed his second successive start following his impressive start last week.

Ivorian striker Christian Kouame had opened the scores for the Belgian giants  before the Ghanaian midfielder supplied a telling pass to Lior Refaelov  for the second goal.

The home side scored a consolation goal late through Zinho Gano in the second half but that was not enough as Anderlecht run away with a 2-1 win.

The Ghanaian lasted 85 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced by Kristoffer Olson but has 79 touches,  completed 58 passes, won 6 out of 8 ground duels, provided one key pass and created one big chance.

Ashimeru has made 26 appearances for Anderlecht having scored twice and provided one assist.
