A man’s body was discovered in The Pond in New York’s Central Park on Labour Day, according to FDNY officials.
The victim has not been yet identified.
The body was taken out of the pond at around 12.30 pm, according to the Daily Mail.
According to reports, the body had been in the water for some time, which is making it difficult to ascertain the man's identity.
The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The pond is situated near the southeast corner of the park, north of W. 59th Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue directly opposite The Plaza hotel.
