The Black Stars secured a 2-0 win against Ethiopia in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia on Sunday afternoon.

Jordan Ayew, who returned to the squad after over a year absence broke the deadlock as early as the 3rd minute

The Crystal Palace forward grabbed his brace from the spot after Emmanuel Boateng brought down in the box to give the visitors a two-goal cushion at half time.

The second half was a classical example of game management by the Stars and they were largely untroubled as they held on to record the crucial win.

The victory takes the four-time Africa champions to second spot on the Group F table with six points, but with a two-game in hand following the cancellation of their double-header clash against Sierra Leone last month.
