Former General secretary of Accra Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee, Maxwell Asabre has added his opinion in the recent dwindling that is happening to the oak tree.

The spokesperson for "concerned Hearts supporters" Asabre, speaking to Kumasi based "Ashh Fm" on the super-sport afternoon program hosted by Eric Agyemang Duah aka Action, claimed the Odotei-led strategic management committee have disappointed the fans and the rainbow club is not ready for the upcoming G6 preseason tourney.

"Hearts are recruiting players without any technical person in charge. Those at the helm of affairs want the supporters to keep mute on the happenings in the club, some of us are suggesting the Phobia team is not ready for the G6 tournament and any supporter in Kumasi who doubts me should come to Accra, visit the secretariat and see the state of the club if the team is ready for the G6." He stated

"If you express your sentiment, people try to insult and gag you to shut-up because they think you are exposing the club. I don't want to talk about Hearts again for them to attack me, the club is not for my father or mother, I came and met it in existence and opted to support it, my bro, the late Kwaku Adusei Kanawu played his part and he is no more,we are all passing through". He bemoaned.

The Accra based "hot Fm" sport pundit believed and insisted that the current management of the club have disappointed the Phobian fraternity and Ex- hearts interim coach Yaw Preko did no wrong to tender in his resignation.

"Our management have disappointed us. At a meeting one management member told Yaw Preko he is not qualified to be the head coach for Hearts and that he should remain interim till they appoint a substantive coach, Preko replied him that they have appointed him as interim coach without any letter to task him of his duties and are telling him to begin preseason with the players while the club owe the lads for four months arrears. What moral duty do I have to recall the players for the preseason? Yaw Preko fought for his players to get paid at least for two months so that he can get the courage to call them back ahead of the G6 tournament but he was given deaf ears." He asserted.

" Preko had an offer at that time from Nigeria which was better than his Hearts contract, even with that lucrative deal Yaw was not happy to leave the club because Hearts gave him the platform in his life as a player and a coach to exhibit his talent."

"The management don't factor him in their player recruitment, he also has a reputation to protect and a bright future so he needed to take decision. I will blame the management it is not Yaw Preko's fault to resign." He opined.

The Odotei led strategic management committee have come under severe criticisms from the club fans and sympathisers for taking unpopular decisions which is not helping the course of the Accra based team.
