Maxwell Konadu insists Kotoko were eager and interested to sign him and that attracted him to accept the offer to replace Kjetil Zechariassen as head coach.

Dr Kwame Kyei and his management team mutually terminated the contract of Zechariassen after he was eliminated from the Africa campaign.

And Max K has admitted he decided to join the club for the second time because Kotoko needed his services at this period.

The Local Black Stars B coach explained to Fox fm: "The difference is that, this time the team's efforts to get me was greater than all other years, that also played a major role."

"Dignitaries from all facets who have the club at heart kept calling me every now and then, including our own Dr. Kwame Kyei the Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko."

Max K believes is the right time to return to Kotoko again after several consultations.

"I think it's the right time for me to make that decision, because the efforts from the officials to get me was greater, and in football too even for players they go where they are most wanted. Most of the times it's not about where you get the most money but if you go where you are wanted the most that is where you are mostly successful, so I think the timing is right and I don't think there will be most problem." he added.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Hearts of Oak  in the president Cup on Dec 15 at the Accra Sports Stadium after the game was rained-off in Kumasi. But Maxwell Konadu not likely to sit in the dugout for the Porcupine Warriors.
