Media rights holders of the ongoing UEFA Euro 2020 tournament in Ghana Media Business Solutions UK (MBS) have accused some radio and media houses of piracy and infringement.

The UK based company acquired the free to air media rights for both television and radio from CAA Eleven Ghana who are the commercial rights managers of  UEFA-organized national team competitions.

It adds that StarTimes Ghana Limited, Supersports (DSTV) and multimedia Ghana Limited have varied categories of media rights.

MBS says it has come to their attention that some radio stations and media houses including Angel FM, Silver FM, Happy FM, Hello FM, Peace FM and Real FM are all illegally running live commentaries of the ongoing Euro 2020 tournament.

According to MBS, their checks with the official rights holders in Ghana have shown that the above listed radio stations do not have the requisite media rights to run commentary.

MBS and it partners Multimedia Ghana Limited are hereby warning the infringing media houses to desist from their illegal act or face damning consequences.
