Medeama SC will look to maintain their perfect start to the 2024/25 Premier League season when they host Heart of Lions at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Saturday evening.

The reigning Premier League champions have enjoyed a blistering start to their campaign, securing nine points from their first three matches with wins over Accra Lions, Legon Cities, and Basake Holy Stars.

Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 GMT.

Under the guidance of Bosnian coach Nebojsa Kapor, Medeama SC sits comfortably at the top of the table, having scored four goals and conceded only one.

With one game in hand against defending champions FC Samartex 1996, the Mauve and Yellow are in fine form as they seek to extend their 100% winning record.

A standout performer for Medeama this season has been versatile defender Kamaradini Mamudu, who has been instrumental in their early success.

The talented right-back has already scored twice and has been a key figure on both ends of the pitch.

Despite their strong start, Medeama will be cautious of Heart of Lions, who pose a formidable threat.

The visitors claimed a 1-0 victory in their last visit to Tarkwa, at the Akoon Community Park, during the previous season.

Furthermore, Medeama’s defense was notably solid last season, conceding only six goals at home, the least in the league.

Heart of Lions have also had a solid start to the season and remain unbeaten, sitting third in the league with six points.

Coach Bashiru Hayford's side has recorded one victory and three draws, scoring five goals and conceding three.

The Kpando-based team is particularly strong away from home, having gone six consecutive away games unbeaten in the league.

Saturday’s match will be just the second time Heart of Lions visit Medeama SC since their promotion back to the top flight, with their 1-0 win last season still fresh in the minds of both teams.

With both clubs enjoying unbeaten runs, this clash promises to be a fiercely contested battle.
