Moses Armah, President of Medeama, exudes confidence ahead of their pivotal match against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League, emphasizing the significance of securing a win to reignite their quarter-finals qualification hopes.

The Ghanaian champions aim to bounce back from their recent 3-0 defeat against Young Africans, viewing a victory against Ahly as a crucial step forward.

Armah draws inspiration from past triumphs, particularly recalling their memorable victory over TP Mazembe in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.

He believes that replicating such success is well within reach for the current Medeama squad.

In an interview with Akoma FM, Armah expressed Medeama's determination, stating, "This game means a lot to us, we did it in 2015 against TP Mazembe at Essipong, so repeating it won't be difficult."

He confidently asserted, "This Friday, we will shock Ghanaians by defeating Al Ahly and secure qualification in Algeria."

While refraining from outrightly predicting a win, Armah emphasized Medeama's commitment to pursuing victory through positive means and called for the unwavering support of all Ghanaians.

Armah also hinted at substantial rewards for the players in the event of a victory, underscoring his confidence in the team's ability to overcome the challenge posed by Al Ahly.

Currently, Medeama sits at the bottom of the group with four points from four games, while Al Ahly leads with six points.

However, with the table tightly contested, Medeama remains optimistic about their chances of progression in the tournament.
