The President and bank roller of reigning Ghana Premier League champions Medeama has been charged by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association for entering the dressing room of match officials during his side's home clash with Hearts of Oak in Tarkwa.

It will be recalled that Hearts of Oak's assistant coach, Abdul Bashiru, accused Medeama President, Moses Armah Parker of entering the referee's dressing room at halftime in their defeat in Tarkwa last Wednesday.

He made the allegation against the referee officiating the recent match between his side and Medeama SC, calling for an urgent investigation by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The Phobians suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Ghana Premier League, falling to Medeama SC. Despite enjoying an unbeaten run of eight games, Hearts of Oak have faced setbacks in their recent matches.

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the referee's conduct during the game, Bashiru accused a Medeama SC bankroller of interfering with the officiating process, including entering the referee's dressing room at halftime.

A statement shared on the GFA's X handle reads; "Medeama's Moses Armah has been charged with a breach of section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League regulation, following Medeama's Ghana Premier League game against Hearts of Oak.

It is alleged that the club official unlawfully entered the dressing room of the match officials of the said game which constitutes misconduct that brings the name of the game into disrepute.

He has until Wednesday17 April to respond to the charges".

The said match ended 2-0 in favour of Medeama SC.
