Medeama SC, the defending champions of the Ghana Premier League, are making moves to secure the services of Hearts of Oak midfield maestro, Salifu Ibrahim, by offering an enticing monthly salary of GHc20,000.

With ambitions to reinforce their squad, the Tarkwa-based club has identified the Phobian midfielder as a prime target to strengthen their ranks.

Salifu Ibrahim, whose contract with Hearts of Oak is set to expire in just over a month, finds himself at a crossroads regarding his future at the club, with negotiations for a contract extension currently underway.

Although Hearts of Oak has proposed a monthly salary offer of GHc10,000 to retain him, the midfielder has made up his mind to depart the club at the end of the season.

To lure Ibrahim to Tarkwa, Medeama SC is willing to double his salary, presenting an attractive monthly package of GHc20,000.

Despite interest from other clubs such as Nations FC and Asante Kotoko, should Ibrahim choose to stay in the country, reports indicate that Medeama is leading the race for his signature.

Since joining Hearts of Oak in February 2021, the 23-year-old midfielder has played a pivotal role in the club's success, particularly in their triumph in the Ghana Premier League during that season.

This campaign, Ibrahim has showcased his value by contributing two goals and nine assists in 27 appearances for Hearts of Oak, garnering attention from top clubs in the league.
