Medeama SC has officially announced the departure of defender Kwadwo Amoako, confirming that both parties have agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.

The decision was reached mutually on Tuesday, making Amoako a free agent.

Amoako, who joined Medeama two seasons ago from AshantiGold SC following their relegation, played a pivotal role during his tenure with the Yellow and Mauves.

The 25-year-old right-back featured in a total of 33 matches across two Ghana Premier League seasons, contributing one goal.

His standout performances were integral to Medeama's success, notably aiding the club in clinching the Ghana Premier League title in the 2022-23 season.

During that campaign, Amoako made 20 appearances and provided five assists. Additionally, he represented Medeama in five matches in the CAF Champions League, starting in four of them.

Amoako's availability has sparked interest from other Ghanaian clubs, with Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars reportedly vying for his signature ahead of the upcoming season.
