Medeama midfielder Richard Boadu popularly called Agadas has dedicated his wining goal scored against Kumasi Asante Kotoko to his mother Mr Adwoa Dorcas.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko collapsed dramatically on their own turf as they lost 2-1 to Medeama SC after taking the lead in the game.

Augustine Okrah combined beautifully to set up captain Emmanuel Gyamfi to head home the opener on the 13th minute of the game.

Medeama then pressed on for the equalizer as they ceased control of the game with Prince Opoku Agyemang and Ibrahim Yaro going close.

The goal finally arrived in the 30th minute when Prince Opoku Agyemang tacked home a loose ball in the penalty box to make it 1-1.

Late in the first half, Richard Boadu's shot deflected off a defender to give Medeama a 2-1 lead going into the break.

It was the first ever goal scored by the midfielder who was openly courted by Asante Kotoko in the past.

"The goal I scored yesterday was my first league goal at Medeama and it was against a big team like Kotoko so the feeling was very huge." he told Gye Nyame FM.

"I dedicate the goal to my mother,Mrs Adwoa Dorcas.

I become very emotional talking about my mother anytime I’m asked a question about her.She has really helped me a lot,a single mother raising six children with the little she gets from selling of food hasn’t been easy. Her prayers and support has been massive."

"During my first division days, she was the one buying me boots and still feeding me.She is my legend.".
