The Mediocrity of this Gov't is dangerously Legendary... More dangerous is the Apparent "Complicity" of the Media

As a Sunday born, i pour my heart out best on Sundays, so however the temptation was with the Kenkey Party organised by Government over the weekend, i had to control my urge to write and trust me it wasn't that easy but sunday is finally here...

Over the weekend when news of a Kenkey Party Organised by Government to celebrate a succesful eurobond roadshow and the exiting of the IMF program started going viral on social media, i was one of the very few people who doubted it, i remember telling a friend "Ken Ofori Attah won't do this, he is above that"

Then boom!!, i started recieving pictures from people who had attended the event and for a few minutes i was left in total awe.

Whaaaat!!!!
The jokes and insults of this Government is certainly becoming intolerable!
How much didn't these bunch of people in government today, bastardise and criticise the previous government over it's decision to go for an IMF program, but when they came into power, they extend the deal for another year and today they are organising a kenkey party to celebrate their exit...smh

Ahh, This bunch of people are making governance stinkingly cheap!
And it was these same set of people who wouldn't let our minds rest because the former finance Minister Seth Tekper had gone on a eurobond roadshow.
They told us if governance was all about borrowing and building schools and hospitals, any idiot even their children in basic school could do it.
This is the same set of people today organising a kenkey party to celebrate the successful issuance of an Eurobond( which a huge chunk of it is likely to go into consumption and interest payments or debt servicing instead of capital projects which will benefit all of us)

Obviously they have the men to go borrowing and organising kenkey party to celebrate the borrowing...incredible!

Now the most insulting thing i have heard over the weekend is that "the over subscription of the eurobond is a sign of confidence in the domestic economy".

This people must be seriously on illicit drugs to make such allusions.
You issue a dollar denominated(eurobond) at a time the dollar is performing extremely well against your currency and other major trading currencies.
Within the last 40 days your currency has depreciated averagely about 26-30% against the currency in which your bond is being issued.
And you think international investors won't take advantage of the bond and milk you???

Now even if the interest rate is relatively smaller than the usual rate of issuance of such bonds, the exchange rates are not the same.
This is simple, when your exchange rate was (3.8 :1 dollar) if the interest rate was even 12.5%, you might end up paying way lesser than a lower interest rate of 9.8% but with an exchange rate of (5.6:1 dollar).
This is basic mathematics.

But i don't blame you that you don't see things the way you should, i blame the media!
The same media who bastardised the government of the day over the Senchi Economic Forum just because one Akua Donkor was invited who they saw as a "joke" or an insult to Ghanaians now seem uninterested with this Kenkey Party "super mediocrity"
(If the Senchi Economic Forum was a joke, this kenkey party is a tetra super mediocrity)

Maybe an "Akua Donkor" was not invited to this Kenkey party but i tell you what, the organisers of this kenkey party, the finance minister and his co-officials in government who was at this event in literal terms are not better than the Akua Donkor they once mocked, infact i'll choose Akua Donkor over them anyday.(atleast she doesn't claim to be knowledgeable)
It is just sickening to see the people who claim to have all the knowledge and answers to the Country's problems behave in a manner that leaves all of us wona throw up!

Now i am so convinced this government has no fresh ideas, absolutely no innovations, nothing new.
Look at how graduates and students in this Country overwhelmingly voted for this government so that it can bring some novation in terms of ideas to create jobs for them to be gainfully employed after school.
Yet you come into power and you introduce NABCo...!!!
So what's the difference between NABCo and Youth Employment???
If this is what the Students, graduates and young people of Ghana needed, they would have left the NDC in Power.

They wouldn't have woken up at dawn to join long queues, travel long distances to vote you into power for you to turn round and insult them with a three year-allowanced internship policy called NABCo.(such medicrity)

ECG workers went all out voted you into power because you said you were against the privatisation of the company which they thought would have rendered most of them redundant, yet you came into power and you don't only privatise it, you dish out most of the shares to yourself and your cronies through a proxy company called PDS who has no prior experience in power management and look at the mess they are creating now....
In all this dumsor nonsense still this month our bills went up by over 25%.

Yet the media is quiet, they are not interested, they are waiting for another sex scandal to emerge so they can splash it all over their front pages and discuss it on their morning shows.

But i tell you what, there is an uprising imminent, the young people of this Country are becoming increasingly angry and impatient and it is just a matter of time and they will rise against the Political class and it won't be nice at all and if the media doesn't take charge and rise up first against this nonsense going on in this Country, they will find themselves in the middle of a class war that will definitely lead to their extinction.

I have said my own..

Feel free to send me a feedback [email protected]

Cheers!!!
