leoBarcelona’s number 10 and star man Lionel Messi made his full come back from injury in the home game against Deportivo earlier today although he had to come on from the bench.

Rafinha struck twice and Luis Suarez added another to make it 3-0 at half time. At that point it was certainly game over for Deportivo and Barca just got their groove on passed the ball around.

Leo got his chance in the second half when he was brought on by Coach Luis Enrique in the 55th minute as a substitute for captain of the day Sergio Busquets. It took the magical Argentine just three minutes into his come back from the groin injury that kept him out for 25 days to find the back of the net in typical Lionel Messi style to take his total La Liga goal tally to 5 this season. Barca eventually ended up winning the game 4-0.

With the win against Depor complete, Barca can now breathe a little easier having already dropped eight points in La Liga this season. Although it was far from a vintage performance by Barca, their supporters can look forward to Wednesday’s game against Manchester City with a lot of optimism because the best player in the world is back with a bang.
