Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo was instrumental in IF Elfsborg's commanding 3-1 victory over IFK Göteborg in the Swedish top-flight on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, who has consistently delivered standout performances this season, opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, expertly finishing a well-placed pass from Ahmed Qasem.

This early goal set the stage for a dominant display by the home side at Borås Arena.

Baidoo's influence on the game was clear throughout his 72-minute stint on the pitch, as Elfsborg maintained control well into the second half.

Danish international Emil Holten doubled Elfsborg's lead in the 58th minute, further strengthening their grip on the match.

Qasem, who had earlier assisted Baidoo’s opener, sealed the win with a third goal, ensuring a comfortable victory for the hosts.

Baidoo's form this season has been exceptional, tallying seven goals and four assists in 19 appearances.
