Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo showcased his goal-scoring prowess for Elfsborg, netting a brace in their thrilling encounter against FC Copenhagen at the Estadio Algarve over the weekend.

The match was part of the ongoing Atlantic Cup, a pre/mid-season football tournament held in Algarve, Portugal.

Despite Baidoo's impressive contributions, Elfsborg faced a 4-5 defeat in a high-scoring affair. The forward found the back of the net in the 29th and 50th minutes, displaying his attacking prowess.

The Atlantic Cup primarily features teams from Scandinavia, Northern, and Central Europe, providing valuable preseason preparation for the participating clubs.

Elfsborg, however, is yet to secure a win after two matches in the tournament and currently finds itself at the bottom of the standings with no points.

The team will look to turn the tide in their favor when they face Danish giants Silkeborg IF on February 9, 2024.
