Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo continued his impressive run in the Swedish Allsvenskan with another goal for IF Elfsborg, despite their 2-1 defeat to GAIS on Sunday at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Goteborg.

The match started with Swedish midfielder Axel Henriksson giving the hosts an early lead, finding the net just four minutes into the game.

Henriksson struck again shortly after, doubling GAIS's advantage with a close-range finish.

However, Baidoo brought hope to Elfsborg just before halftime, scoring from the edge of the box to pull one back for the visitors.

Despite Baidoo's efforts, Elfsborg couldn't overturn the deficit, ultimately falling short as GAIS held on for the win.

The defeat sees Elfsborg occupying the 9th position on the league standings after 10 rounds of matches.

Ghanaian youngster Jalal Abdullai featured for Elfsborg, playing 46 minutes before being substituted for experienced forward Simon Hedlund.

Baidoo's performance this season has been notable, with the Ghanaian midfielder registering four goals and two assists in nine appearances in the Swedish top division.
