Ghanaian forward Michael Sarpong has officially signed a one-year contract with Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League.

The 28-year-old joins the Tarkwa-based club as a free agent after his contract with South Africa’s Sekhukhune United expired on June 30, 2024.

Sarpong is expected to significantly bolster Medeama SC’s attacking options as they look to reclaim the league title from rivals Samartex.

His extensive experience across various leagues is anticipated to have a positive impact on the team’s performance this season.

Before making the move to Medeama, Sarpong enjoyed a successful career, representing several clubs, including Dreams FC, Rayon Sports, Yanga SC, AS Kigali, and Al Nahda, among others.

His arrival is seen as a key addition to the team, enhancing their offensive capabilities as they strive for success this season.

Currently, Medeama SC is at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings, having secured nine points from three matches, and they are eager to clinch the title to qualify for continental competitions.
