Mr Abdallah Abubakari, Northern Regional Minister has urged Muslims to continue to pray to maintain the peace and stability of the country.

He said there is need to consolidate the peace the country is enjoying to promote development.

Mr Abubakari was addressing Muslims at the Jubilee Park in Tamale to mark this year's Eid- Ul-Adha celebrations.

He said government is working hard to ensure prosperity for all and called on all to live in harmony.

He advised Muslims to learn the attributes of sharing what they have with their neighbours to promote unity and nation building.

Sheikh Abdulai Salam, Regional Chief Imam, in a sermon, called on Muslims to be one another's keeper to ensure peaceful coexistence.

Sheikh Salam reminded Muslims of the December 7general election and advised them to eschew violence.
