Mohammed Alidu scored a breathtaking goal to lead Legon Cities FC to a 1-0 victory over Bofoakwa Tano at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Saturday.

Alidu's 30th-minute screamer was the decisive moment in the match, propelling the Royals to 9th position on the Ghana Premier League table.

His powerful shot into the top corner provided the home side with a much-needed win.

Bofoakwa Tano, meanwhile, are facing the grim prospect of a swift return to Division One.

They currently sit 17th on the table with 33 points, trailing safety by 12 points with only two matches remaining in the season.

As the league season approaches its final stretch, the remaining six Premier League matches are scheduled to take place across the country on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
