Ghanaian whiz-kid Mohammed Kudus began training with his new team Ajax Amsterdam on Saturday after delays in concluding his work permit.

The attacking midfielder was signed in July from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in a record breaking 9 million euros for a Ghanaian teenager.

Since signing he was unable to train with his teammates due to his works on his documentation but was on Saturday named among the team's traveling party who will be camping in Austria.

He trained with his teammates for the first time in Austria and is expected to be an integral member of Erik Ten Haag's first team.

The highly rated Ghanaian midfielder scored on his debut for the Black Stars last year in the AFCON qualifier against South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Whiles in Austria, Ajax will play its first friendly game next week Tuesday, against Wolfsberger AC. Red Bull Salzburg will play against de Godenzonen on Saturday 22 August.

Ajax will return to the Netherlands, then play against Holstein Kiel, Hertha BSC, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Union Berlin in a series of friendly matches.
