The MTN FA Cup Committee has opened bids for cities across the country with standard facilities interested in staging the finals of the competition to apply.

Currently the competition as it the round of 32 stage but the finals will take place on Sunday 8th August 2021, unlike in the past where the committee chooses their own host city for the finals they have this time opened it up for interested cities to apply.

There are twelve Division One League clubs, nine Division Two side and  eleven Premier League clubs competing for the ultimate title.

Interested Cities are to put together a proposal stating the reasons why they want to host the finals of the tournament, their plans, leverage for tourism, business opportunities and support for the two participating clubs.

The last three editions of the finals have been played in Sekondi Takoradi, Cape Coast and Tamale.

Presently the only Cities that can boost of standard hosting facilities are Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast, Obuasi and Tamale.

The Essipong Stadium is currently being refurbished and it may not be completed in time for the finals of the MTN FA Cup which will take place in August.

Winners of the prestigious competition will pocket will pocket GHC80,000 while getting the opportunity to play in the CAF Confederations Cup with the sponsors giving that club GHC100,000 to play in Africa.
