Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito is stacking up his hopes on an MTN FA Cup triumph after missing out on the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
The Porcupine Warriors finished the just ended season in the fifth place, tied on 58 points with rivals Hearts of Oak who occupied the fourth place on goal difference. Their final fixture of the season ended in a 3-1 defeat on the road to Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Complex on Sunday, June 8.
The record Ghana Premier League holders of all time with 24 trophies will now turn their attentions to the MTN FA Cup final against second tier side, Golden Kicks on June 15 at the University of Ghana, Legon Stadium, a match head coach Karim Zito is determined to win as he has resorted to that to avoid going into the end of the campaign trophyless.

“The fans should not lose hope, we still have one at hand and that one is more important than winning against Vision FC because winning this game will help us win the league.
“But the one coming next week [is important], so they should come, they should not lose hope.
“They should come; we will both combine for the ultimate.”
Abdul Karim Zito succeeded Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum as the head coach and doubled as the club’s Technical Director as he will be looking forward to clinching their tenth ever FA Cup trophy in the upcoming final as they last lifted the coveted title in 2017.
