Its that time of the year again as the MTN FA Cup competition is about to kick off with the draw set to be held on Tuesday, 4th May, 2021 at the StarTimes studio in Accra at 3pm.

There will be forty eight (48) Division One League Clubs, forty four (44) Division Two Clubs competing in the preliminary stages of the competition.

The GFA is mulling reducing traveling times, cost and risk by clubs by grouping the teams into 16 Regions as opposed to the 10 Regions still being used by football for the preliminary stage.

This will also ensure that there will be more local derbies which will whip up interest and enthusiasm in the competition at the local level.

The Preliminary stage of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup competition is scheduled for Friday, May 14 to Thursday, May 20, 2021.

After the preliminary stage the 18 Ghana Premier League teams will join the remaining teams for the round of 64.

A grand launch of the tournament for the 2020/2021 season and draw for the round of 64 will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the MTN House in Accra.

In all, One hundred and ten clubs (110) Clubs - 18 Premier League Clubs, 48 Division One League Clubs and 44 Division Two Clubs from the Regional Football Associations will participate in the competition.
