Justice Blay's father, Mr John Blay is optimistic his son will play for the Black Stars very soon as he returns to training following a career ending injury in the 2020/2021 season.

The Medeama midfielder earned a call up sometime back under coach C.K Akonnor whiles playing for Asante Kotoko on loan during the 2019/2020 season.

But the 2020/2021 season has been a very difficult one as he sustained a fractured fibula injury during a league game between Legon Cities and Medeama at the Akoon Park.

A wild tackle from Legon Cities center back Joseph Adjei injured the player ruling him out of the league season prematurely but his father says that he is back to training and even featured in a Monday special game and believes his son will soon represent the Black Stars.

"It's never true that my son has quit football, Blay has started training, he even surprised everyone in a Monday special game so I'm surprised about such rumors" Mr. John Blay told OTEC FM

"With his performance I saw, I believe very soon my son will be part of the Black Stars team again" he added.
