Mystery killing in Kasoa: Brutally slain man dumped in Okrudu river

Fear and disbelief have gripped residents of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality after the lifeless body of a young man was discovered in the Okrudu River under disturbing circumstances.

The victim, estimated to be in his early 30s and described by locals as fair-skinned, bore multiple deep cutlass wounds across his body, pointing to a vicious and deliberate attack before his remains were dumped at the riverside.

As of now, the man’s identity remains a mystery. Residents say they do not recognise him, and it is still unclear what events led to his killing or whether he may have been targeted in a premeditated act.

Officials from the Municipal National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), led by Nash Nyande, in collaboration with the area Assembly Member, retrieved the body and transported it to the Police Hospital Mortuary for preservation and a post-mortem examination.

Authorities say no relatives or acquaintances have yet come forward to claim the body, while police have opened a full investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the gruesome murder.

The shocking discovery has heightened anxiety in the community, with residents calling for intensified security and swift justice as law enforcement works to uncover the truth behind the killing.
